The Netflix series turned phenomenon Stranger Things is being immortalized with its first Funko Pop set.

Millie Bobby Brown was officially confirmed to return for Stranger Things season 2 today. And yet that's somehow the second-best news of the day.
Fans would have stormed the gates of Netflix headquarters, pitchfork, slingshot, and Eggos in hand, if Eleven was written out of the series. “If” was never really a consideration. There was no drama here. The Summer of Millie Bobby Brown all but secured that the charismatic pre-teen would be back.
To mitigate the wait for season two, fans have kept busy posting “Missing” posters for Barb at New York Comic Con and dressing like Dustin, Eleven, Joyce, and even a fully-functional Demogorgon for Halloween. Netflix also put out a news report to further fuel Barbmania.
Stranger Things fans have another reason to celebrate today. Funko, the makers of the adorable pop vinyl figures that are taking over the world, officially announced a line of Stranger Things figures.
We try to steer clear of toy editorial on this website for a few reasons, but mostly because we’re grown adults and we obsess over enough geeky stuff on a daily basis (see examples here, here, here, and here) as it is. Hell, we even made our own Stranger Things RPG! HOWEVER, every so often there comes along a toy collectible announcement that we cannot ignore. Not to mention you’d have an easier time escaping the Demogorgon than Funko Pops, which are easily the most mainstream collectible around.
But you need not our pessimism about the toy industry. Look at these freakin’ things!

Also in this set (though not pictured) are Upside-Down Will, Closed-Mouth Demogorgon, and Under-Water Eleven. These little suckers will run you $9.99 and will be available in early 2017.
No Joyce, Hopper, Steve, Steve's hair, or Nancy in this batch will irk some fans, but something tells me the demand will justify a second edition sooner than later.
