Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail leaked a script page for season three and Elliot is struggling with post-election depression.

Many liberal-minded folk are searching for answers to combat their post-election depression. Some have lashed out in peaceful and violent protests while hate crimes are further dividing the country. Others are saying: “I told you so.”
You can bet Mr. Robot’s Elliot was particularly troubled with the rise of Donald Trump and the current political climate. Series creator and director Sam Esmail, an Egyptian-American whose parents were “very strict Muslims,” has been outspoken about his support for Hillary Clinton during election season. In light of the outcome of the election, Esmail leaked a script page from Mr. Robot season 3:
There's not a whole lot of context to the leaked script page. Esmail has not said if Trump's presidency will play a major role in season three.
