As The Magicians gears up for season 2, members of the cast spoke with our young reporter at New York Comic Con.
The cast of The Magicians on Syfy have all had to learn magic at one point or another during the course of filming season one, or at the very least the “finger-tutting” phalangeal acrobatics involved in casting spells. Den of Geek’s junior reporter, Greyden Frank, was on hand at New York Comic Con, in full caped stormtrooper regalia, to ask the actors what their favorite magic trick was either to perform or see performed.
Rick Worthy and Jason Ralph spoke about tricks they could do themselves whereas Arjun Gupta shared a magic trick he once participated in as a volunteer. The incomparable pair who play Margo and Eliot on the show, Summer Bishil and Hale Appleman, both admired the magician’s ability to disappear, and Olivia Taylor Dudley wished she could speak to animals — appropriate given that The Magicians will be entering Fillory in season 2 where the beasts can talk.
