Amazon is shoring up its online streaming selection with some big additions to its Amazon Channels service.

Well, at least we'll have plenty of streaming video options as the world burns. One day after Netflix announced they would be making some content available for offline playback, Amazon Prime has announced that you can now purchase HBO and Cinemax programming via its Amazon Channels service.
If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can sign up to stream shows like Westworld and Game of Thrones (and, you know, whatever it is that Cinemax airs). It will set you back $14.99 per month for HBO (the same as a HBO Now subscription) and $9.99 per month for Cinemax. A 30-day free trial subscription for the HBO option is already available through Amazon Channels.
Amazon VP of digital video Michael Paull said in an official statement of the new addition to the Amazon Channels service:
HBO has produced some of the most groundbreaking, beloved and award-winning shows in television history. Prime members can now watch the latest episodes of the critically-acclaimed Westworld and Game of Thrones without the need for a cable subscription. We’re thrilled to work with HBO to bring their cutting-edge content to Amazon Prime members with Amazon Channels.
In addition to Westworld and Game of Thrones, other HBO programs currently available to stream include: Divorce, Insecure, John Oliver, and Ballers. Movies available via HBO include: Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Revenant, Deadpool, and Straight Outta Compton.
Cinemax on offer include: The Knick, Quarry, Outcast, and Banshee. Movies currently available include: American Sniper, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Pitch Perfect 2.
Subscriptions already available via Amazon Channels, which allows users to select from more than 70 "streaming partners" options include: Showtime, Starz, Acorn TV, Warner Bros.’ DramaFever, Tribeca Shortlist, and Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Plus.
