Underground will be returning to our TV screens for a second season on March 8th

Underground season two has a trailer and premiere date! WGN America's hit period thriller about American slaves fighting for freedom on the Underground Railroad will premiere its second season at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 8th.
We've also got a short teaser for the new season, which highlights the prominent role of escaped slave, Civil War spy, and all-around badass Harriet Tubman (played by Aisha Hinds, in a recurring role). We also get some clues that Cato (Alano Miller) is not as dead as we'd been led to believe come the end of Underground season 1. Of course, everyone is in constant danger on this show, especially with the addition of a new, ferocious (female!) slave hunter. Check out the short trailer for yourself...
Underground season 2 will seemingly pick up where season 1 left off, with Rosalee (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) heading back to rescue Noah (Aldis Hodge) and the rest of the Macon 7. The season will include 10 episodes and will also feature returning cast members Amirah Vann, Jessica de Gouw, Christopher Meloni ,and Marc Blucas. Recurring guest stars include: Jasika Nicole, DeWanda Wise, Michael Trotter, Jesse Luken, Sadie Stratton, and John Legend.
