No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge.
Justice League Action Premiere Date
Justice League Action premieres on December 16th at 6:00 PM EDT with "Shazam Slam" which will be a four-part special event.
Here's the official word on the premiere:
In "Shazam Slam," the villainous Black Adam battles Batman on the Rock of Eternity and unleashes a horde of Djinn determined to turn the Earth back to its pre-human, volcanic state. Affected by the otherworldly powers of these primordial monsters, Batman becomes possessed and is turned into a giant flying Batmonster laying waste to the Hall of Justice, with only Superman capable of taking the fight to the Dark Knight. One by one, the Justice League - with the help of Shazam (voiced by Sean Astin) and The Wizard (voiced by Carl Reiner) - must hunt down and defeat each Djinn in order to yet again save the world from destruction.
And check out a clip from the premiere featuring Swamp Thing and John Constantine. Wait, really?

Justice League Action Cast
The standout news is that Kevin Conroy will return as Batman and guest stars will include Mark Hamill as the Joker, James Woods as Lex Luthor, and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold, with more promised.
Star Trek veteran Brent Spiner, who played Data in The Next Generation and the subsequent films, is voicing the Riddler in Justice League Action. Spiner announced the news on the Comic Book Central podcast. Spiner has previously voiced the Joker in another DC animated series, Young Justice.
Said Spiner of the switch from the Joker to the Riddler, "There’s a new Justice League coming on, and [Mark Hamill] decided this time he wanted to the Joker, so I ended up doing the Riddler. I’ve only done one episode, but then I only did one episode of the Joker too."
Dana Snyder is taking on the role of Plastic Man, and comedian Hannibal Buress will be playing Mr. Terrific. Patton Oswalt will also join the cast as the character of Space Cabbie, who may reportedly join the Justice League full-time.
Justice League Actioncomes from executive producer Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) with Butch Lukic (Justice League, Batman Beyond), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) serving as producers. Green Lantern was an underrated little bit of joy, and this definitely has some talent behind the scenes.
