The world famous franchise about children's card games is about never giving up.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is a well known property amongst anime fans, becoming a house hold name in America thanks to its dub airing on Kids WB back in the early 2000's. The series has run through numerous incarnations since then, including Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. Usually concerning a wild haired player of the Duel Monsters card game, the franchise has not taken taken a break since its debut.
The new series, which doesn't have an official name yet, does have a short plot synopsis out. Thanks to Crunchyroll, we've got our first look at that.
The latest 6th installment is aimed at children who give up their dreams before actually trying due to information overloading, hoping to encourage them to take a step to try things that they like and that they are interested in. The protagonist Yusaku is a boy who excessively hates to stand out and not noticeable at his school. But through the duels, he meets various type of people, then starts to take a step and try things.
While the series has always featured characters learning simple life lessons and the like, the fact this new series is making them such a core theme is fascinating. I mean hey, what better way to meet people then playing a collectable card game that uses complex holograms to create crazy monster creatures?
We've also got a photo of our new main character, Yusaku Fujiki, here.

Besides the trademark Yu-Gi-Oh! protaganist hair he's also wearing a school uniform, which matches the summary for the series. How will this new series measure up to past series? What new game mechancis will be introduced into the Duel Monsters game? Stay tuned.
No word yet on whether we'll be seeing this in America.
