Glory, glory, and praise the Lord, Preacher Season 2 is coming in 2017.

PreacherSeason 2 was confirmed by AMC back in June, long before we got to the season finale. Preacherhas been one of the strangest little shows on TV, and it's far from a straight adaptation of the comic book source material. Even if you're a fan of the books, the show is taking a different route to its big story, so there's plenty to keep you guessing. A second season should only continue that.
Oh, and they'll have more episodes to do it with. PreacherSeason 2 will feature 13 episodes instead of 10.

“Preacheris a special television program and we’re eager to share with fans the rest of this wild first season and, now, an expanded second season,” said Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios in a statement. “What Sam, Seth, Evan and the entire creative team have achieved in bringing Garth Ennis’ graphic novel to the screen is extraordinary. We look forward to more time with these unforgettable characters be it in Heaven, Hell, Texas or beyond.”
They're about to get moving on this one, and we now know (thanks to Seth Rogen) the first episode is called, appropriate, "On The Road."
Preacher Season 2 Premiere Date
No premiere date has been announced yet, but expect it to air roughly at the same point on the calendar it did this year in 2017. AMC needs to fill those supernatural gaps between The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead.
