Former President Selina Meyer will start her long march back to the White House in Veep Season 6
The first woman president of the United States, Selina Meyer, was not re-elected into office. A tie threw the whole political process into a freefall on HBO’s modern comedy classic Veep. Season 6 has been confirmed by HBO, but the premiere date is still a mystery, mainly because the Game of Thrones season premiere has been pushed back to the summer. HBO usually announces release dates for its April shows towards the end of January.
Veep showrunner David Mandel confirmed on Twitter that HBO will release a Season 6 release date soon, but didn’t fully commit.
“The first episode of the @VeepHBO sixth season will be aired in april or in the mid-2017?,”Mandel tweeted on Jan. 3.
Blunt Talk’s Mary Holland will play a high powered political fundraiser on Veep season 6. There is no word on whether she will be raising funds for the now-ex-POTUS.
Sam Richardson and Matt Walsh, who play Richard Splett and press secretary Mike McLintock, released a video launching a brand new campaign on the fundraising platform Omaze to support the Los Angeles High School of the Arts and Children’s Community School. For as little as a $10 donation, fans have the chance to be flown out to Los Angeles where they’ll enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Veep from the set while meeting Matt, Sam, Tim Simons and other members of the cast.
“Starting today, fans can go to Omaze.com/Veep and enter for the chance to win,” reads the official Omaze site.
“Allow us to put on our running shoes and get to the point: you and a guest are going to join Timothy Simons, Matt Walsh and Sam Richardson on the set of Veep for the most presidential day of your life. The campaign runs through January 31st. In addition to entering for the chance to win the grand prize, there is some amazing memorabilia available for high-level donors including a Veep script signed by select members of the cast as well as a “Jonah Ryan For Congress” campaign poster signed by Tim Simons

Veep was created by Armando Iannucci who was nominated for an Academy Award for co-writing the Tony Blaire era political film In the Loop.The new showrunner is David Mandel who ran Larry David’s HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
