Here's some excellent news: the classic Mondasian Cybermen from the original run of Doctor Who will return in episodes 11 and 12 of series 10. Apparently they're Peter Capaldi's "long-time favorite foe."

So far in Nu-Who, we've seen plenty of Cybus Industries Cybermen, which herald from the parallel universe dubbed "Pete's World." But this marks the first post-relaunch appearance of the original breed of Cybermen.

These retro, DIY-looking Cybermen come from Earth's "twin planet" Mondas, and its very exciting to have them back.

The news of the Mondasian Cybermen's return was announced by the official BBC One Facebook page, which also told us that Michelle Gomez's Missy will appear in the same episodes. One assumes she'll be teaming up with some Cybermen again.

Doctor Who Season 10 Release Date

Doctor Who series 10 will premiere on April 15, 2017. Entertainment Weekly reports the first episode of series 10 will arrive on BBC America, and will be followed by the American premiere of the spinoff series Class.

The Doctor Who series 10 premiere was written by showrunner Steven Moffat and directed by Lawrence Gough (whose credits include Misfits, The Aliens, and that clip which introduced Pearl Mackie as the new companion, Bill).

The title of the premiere, according to CultBox and a fan with a long lens camera, is "A Star in Her Eye."

Doctor Who Season 10 Trailer

A new trailer has arrived ahead of Doctor Who series 10. It features the Doctor's new companion, Bill Potts, who is really loving her time in the TARDIS. Check out the trailer below:

“The first time you meet him, he’s funny,” Bill says, referring, of course, to the Doctor. “The second time, he’s amazing. The third time, you realize he’s the most dangerous man in the universe. He says he’s a man of peace, but he walks in war. I’m having the time of my life, and I wouldn’t miss it for the world — even if it kills me.”

We can't wait to see what the Doctor, Bill, and Nardole get up to in a few weeks!
