NBC knows what makes you happy and sad, and the NBC This Is Us Season 2 renewal is official.
This Is Us Season 2 is a go at NBC. What's more, the network has decided to go ahead with This is Us Season 3 while they're at it.
"This Is Us is as good as anything we’ve ever had. We’re thrilled to renew it for two seasons and there’s no doubt it will have a long life on NBC," said the network's entertainment chief Jennifer Salke in a statement back in January when the news was announced (via THR) . "On behalf of everyone at NBC, we’re grateful for the artistry of the cast, crew, and producers assembled by our gifted creator, Dan Fogelman. In a world where there are literally hundreds of television dramas, we’re proud to have one of the very best that is also one of the highest-rated."
If you're unfamiliar, This Is Us is a heartwarming (and sometimes heartbreaking) drama following an unconventional family, which features interesting material about fame, family, adoption, and body image struggles while also offering a whole lot of fun and warmth.
The show stars Milo Ventimigila, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, and Justin Hartley, as well as some very talented child actors. Creator Dan Fogelman has deployed different time periods in the series, allowing viewers to see mom and dad's early struggles as well as the kids' grown-up endeavours decades later.

While no official premiere date has been confirmed just yet, expect This Is Us Season 2 to arrive in September 2017. We'll update this with an official date when we have it.
