Seriously, Adult Swim is airing new episodes of Rick and Morty season 3 NOW!
UPDATE: Drop literally everything you're doing. I know you’re on high alert because it's April Fools Day, but Rick and Morty season 3 is currently airing right now on the AdultSwim.com live stream. They surprise-dropped the season premiere episode on us! They'll be airing the episode on a loop until Midnight ET.
We first caught wind of it from this tweet and thought "nice try, guys." But when we clicked the live stream, it was indeed playing a new, unseen episode of Rick and Morty.
Adult Swim then followed up with a press release email with the subject line "Come Watch TV." The body of the message said as much, with a link to the live stream. After all the built up anticipation for Rick and Morty season 3, how very Adult Swim to drop it by surprise. Alright, now go watch!
Rick and Morty Season 3 Release Date
At the end of season two, Mr. Poopybutthole said Rick and Morty season 3 wouldn't happen for another year and a half... so March 2017. After targeting the end of 2016, production delays pushed Rick and Morty season 3 closer to that butthole's prediction.
I guess Mr. Poopybutthole is some kind of psychic. Rick and Morty season 3 is currently airing a new episode on Adult Swim for April Fools. During the commercial break, they announced that the season will officially debut this summer.
