One month after a lucky turn, A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3 promises a slippery slope.

Count Olaf will have custody of Klaus, Violet and Sunny Baudelaire for another two seasons. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3 was confirmed by Netflix. The Paramount Television project, which stars Neil Patrick Harris, was renewed for season 2 just a month ago.
Written by Daniel Handler, Mr. Snicket's real-life alias, who also executive produces with Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, The Addams Family), A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3 will cover the final four books in the novel series: The Slippery Slope, The Grim Grotto, The Penultimate Peril, and The End.
A Series of Unfortunate Events launched with an eight-episode first season on Jan. 13, covering the first four books: The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, The Wide Window, and The Miserable Mill. Season 2 will run for 10 episodes and recreate the next five: The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, and The Carnivorous Carnival.
Snicket’s internationally best-selling series of books were previously adapted into Paramount’s 2004 film starring Jim Carrey. A Series of Unfortunate Events is one of several scripted series projects inspired by the studio’s movie library. Paramount TV and Netflix began their TV adaptation process in 2014
A Series of Unfortunate Events is narrated by Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket and stars Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire, and Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire. The series also features Alfre Woodard, Joan Cusack and Aasif Mandvi.
Harris will also host and executive produce the NBC game show Genius Junior.
