Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Latest News

The first trailer for what appears to be the final season of Star Wars Rebels was revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2017. As you might expect, it's an incredible teaser that previews what looks to be a suitable conclusion to the show.

Additionally, it was revealed that Warwick Davis will join the Star Wars Rebels cast in season 4. He will play a character named Rukh; the assassin bodyguard of Thrawn.

Star Wars Rebels season 4 is happening and production is "already underway."

“The team behind Star Wars Rebels delivers epic storytelling that has captivated fans of all ages across the globe," Marc Buhaj, senior vice president, programming and general manager, Disney XD said in a statement when the news was announced earlier in the month. "We’re excited to continue sharing the journey of these fan-favorite rebels with our audience in the fall.

Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Release Date

They haven't announced an official date yet other than "this Fall" so it will probably arrive in late September like season three did.

Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Story

Just a quick update here on what to expect in Star Wars Rebels season 4. Following the dramatic conclusion to season 3, producer Dave Filoni has teased what's coming next on the Rebels Recon YouTube series.

Season 4 will apparently feature the return of Saw Gerrera and Mon Mothma, with Filoni promising we'll get to see "much more of an insight into seeing how that relationship breaks down and breaks apart."

We'll also get to visit Mandalore, Sabine's home planet, which featured a lot in the Clone Wars animated series. "The longer we’ve gone with this series, the more it just has occurred to me that Rebels really is, in a lot of ways, going to finish Clone Wars," Feloni explained.

"It’s going to give us an ending for so many things that I didn’t get to finish. That was never intentional, that was never the goal. But it’s kind of worked out that way. Some of these characters have come into it, and I think that’s a good thing in a way, that they’re kind of a partnered series, while exactly explicitly connected, there is a shared story path for many characters it it, which I think is a good thing."

Also, season 4 "might be possibly, possibly, possibly when you get to see an X-wing." Fingers crossed on that front!
