Syfy will do some god damn magic with The Magicians season 3.
This is no trick: The Magicians season 3 is confirmed by Syfy for 2018.
It’s almost a surprise it took this long to renew the series after it posted sizable ratings gains early in the season. The fantasy drama is up 4.5 percent in viewers from season one to season two, with a more than 9 percent increase in the key demo. That means Syfy is finally hitting a younger target audience with The Magicians young and diverse ensemble.
The renewal means Syfy’s trio of The Expanse, 12 Monkeys (both renewed in March), and The Magicians will all likely return in 2018. The Magicians news comes with two episodes remaining in season two.
The series is based on The Magicians novels by Lev Grossman and was adapted for television by Sera Gamble and John McNamara. The series stars Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta, Summer Bishil, Jade Tailor, and Rick Worthy.
The Magicians Season 3 Release Date
While they haven't announced the date yet, both seasons premiered in January, so we'll pencil this one in for early 2018.
