AMC's Turn Season 4 is happening, but it will be the show's final time on the battlefield.
Fans of Turn: Washington's Spies should rest easy. Despite the long wait, AMC confirmed Turn Season 4 . The catch, of course, is that this is the final season of the Revolutionary War drama. Turn season 4 will consist of 10 episodes.
While the series hasn’t been the ubiquitous ratings juggernaut as network peers such as The Walking Dead, it has developed a strong fan following, with Season 3 averaging around 1.2 million viewers, most of which came from desirable 25-54 demographics. Thus, the series will get an opportunity that is actually rare, which is to come to a dramatic conclusion on its own terms.

TURN is based on the 2007 book Washington’s Spies: The Story of America’s First Spy Ring by Alexander Rose. The show stars Jamie Bell as an embattled Long Island farmer named Abraham Woodhull who – by way of childhood friends like Benjamin Talmadge (Seth Numrich), Caleb Brewster (Daniel Henshall) and his sometimes-mistress Anna Strong (Heather Lind) – gets dragged into a Colonial-era underground world of espionage against the mounting pressure of the occupying British armies.
Abraham goes from a living a simple agrarian existence to keeping deep, dark secrets from his wife, young son and, notably, his community pillar loyalist father. The show’s most recent developments depicted the rise and fall of American history’s most famous traitor Benedict Arnold (Owain Yeoman) and the final rope swing of his secret red-coated manipulator Major John Andre (J.J. Feild).
Turn Season 4 will see the dramatic conclusion of the Culper Spy Ring and presumably depict the final resolution of the American Revolution as the show’s deeply intriguing, pathos-heavy version of General George Washington (Ian Kahn) will be on the frontlines of a historic victory and become the father of a country consisting of free states where once stood colonies. The involvement of Woodhull and the Culper Spy Ring, notably its most historically-lauded member Robert Townsend (Nick Westrate), and their sacrificial ordeals will certainly pay off when the show comes to its end.
