Will NBC renew Taken Season 2?
The Taken TV series seemed like a reasonable enough idea. The movie series has gone on long enough, and the main character is versatile enough, that a weekly action TV series made some sense. But is it enough to make Taken Season 2 a reality?
The 10 episode series made its debut on NBC in February, to an impressive 7.5 million viewers. Since then, the numbers have fallen off to roughly 4.5 million, which would be a guaranteed smash on smaller networks, but not necessarily on NBC. That might not be enough to make TakenSeason 2 happen.
NBC hasn't made any kind of official announcement about Taken Season 2 just yet, but there's still time. The network doesn't hold its upfront for another two weeks, and we'll likely hear a final decision on Taken Season 2 by then.
