Fox hasn't confirmed Last Man on Earth Season 4. What's their problem, anyway?
Is there a more out there, offbeat, moving comedy on TV than Fox's Last Man on Earth? Probably not. So with the season three finale just about in the books, why the heck is the network dragging their feet on Last Man on Earth Season 4?
Well, for one thing, the ratings on the current season haven't been stellar. While it's expected that shows will lose a certain percentage of viewers the longer they run, the show's numbers have consistently dipped below the 2 million range this season. That might be enough on some networks, but not on Fox, and certainly not on Sunday nights. This is the key reason why Last Man on Earth Season 4 still hasn't been confirmed.
But it's still possible that the network will have a change of heart. Their upfront takes place on May 15th, and that's when we'll get a better picture of what's coming for the 2017-2018 season. Hopefully Last Man on Earth Season 4 will be part of it. But as long as they don't make an official cancelation announcement, it's worth mobilizing your forces on social media to let them know how much you want to see Last Man on Earth Season 4 happen.
