Will Eric Carter be back? Fox is keeping the door open on 24: Legacy.

Fox is considering future installments of 24, despite leaving the revival off of the 2017 fall schedule.
On a conference call ahead of Fox’s upfront presentation, Fox TV CEO Gary Newman said they’re talking about 24’s future, but scheduling made it difficult to commit to another 24 limited run in time for the annual reveal of the network’s programming for the new season. 24: Legacy star Corey Hawkins is starring in Six Degrees of Separation on Broadway, which indicates that Fox is committed to Hawkins in the lead role if 24: Legacy season 2 is to happen. The network will also consult with executive producer Howard Gordon about the show’s future.
24: Legacy and Prison Break were Fox’s high-profile revivals for 2017. Legacy premiered in the coveted post-Super Bowl slot. It had the distinction of being the lowest rated post-Super Bowl show in more than a decade (though the game went to overtime, running late on the east coast). It was also the highest rated episode in the show’s history. 24: Legacy had diminishing returns from there, bottoming out at around 3 million viewers (Live+Same Day) for its finale.
We’ll keep you posted on any updates about the future of 24: Legacy.
