Ahead of its upfront presentation, Fox confirmed a series order for the Adam Scott and Craig Robinson starring comedy Ghosted

Scott and Robinson will try to put a comedic twist on the Mulder and Scully dynamic, signing on to star in the paranormal-themed comedy series, Ghosted. Taking a cue from The X-Files, Robinson will play a skeptic and Scott, the true believer in a pair hired by a Los Angeles organization called the Underground Investigative Service to explore several unexplained paranormal events in the city. Their discoveries lead to a larger threat that could have major implications on all humanity. Kevin Etten (Workaholics ) is the series’ showrunner.

Here's the trailer:

According to TV Line, the cast includes Ally Walker (Sons of Anarchy) and Adeel Akhtar (The Night Manager).

The project comes for Robinson after his NBC star vehicle Mr. Robinson was unceremoniously cancelled in 2015, though he recently enjoyed a high-profile guest stint on the buzz-worthy Mr. Robot. Scott’s most recently appeared in HBO’s limited series Big Little Lies, starring opposite Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

Scott and Robinson will executive produce Ghosted alongside Scott’s wife, producer Naomi Scott. Tom Gormican (That Awkward Moment) will also executive produce as well as pen the script. The single-camera comedy has received a pilot commitment from Fox.

The project reunites Scott and Robinson, who last worked together on 2015’s Hot Tub Time Machine 2.
