Owen Wilson gets to play God in this workplace comedy co-starring Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe.

TBS announced that it greenlit the anthology comedy series Miracle Workers, which will star the former Harry Potter Daniel Radcliffe (Swiss Army Man, Now You See Me 2) and Owen Wilson (Midnight in Paris, Masterminds).
Miracle Workers was created by the series’ showrunner Simon Rich (Man Seeking Woman). The first season will be based on his book What in God's Name. The seven-episode series will be executive produced by Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, along with Rich, Wilson, Radcliffe and Andrew Singer of Broadway Video, which will produce the series with Turner Network's Studio T.
"Having Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson join the TBS family is proof of the continued evolution of this comedy brand as the home of the most creative minds in the business," Brett Weitz, executive vice president of original programming for TBS, said in a statement.
"Owen Wilson has long been a comic genius, and Daniel's performance in last year's Swiss Army Man really proved that there's a sophisticated comedian under the surface of those brilliant dramatic chops. Simon and Lorne are total pros in walking the tightrope between reality and ridiculousness, and they do it with a lot of heart and wit."
Miracle Workers season 1will be a workplace comedy set in Heaven. Radcliffe will play a low level angel named Craig. His job is answering humanity's prayers. Owen Wilson will play God, Craig's boss, who put out a gone fishing sign and left the store to lower management. Craig has to pull off his most impossible miracle to save Earth from destruction.
Miracle Workers joins TBS's growing stable of comedies that includes Wrecked, The Detour, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, People of Earth and Angie Tribeca. TBS will also premiere the comedy anthology series The Guest Book, from writer/executive producer Greg Garcia. The Last O.G., a new scripted comedy starring Tracy Morgan and created by executive producers Jordan Peele and John Carcieri, is also in production for the station.
Miracle Workers is set to premiere on TBS in 2018.
