It's all coming up peachy for Donald Glover and FX. Atlanta season 2 is confirmed for 2017.

Everything’s just peachy in Donald Glover’s hometown. Georgia remains the realest state, and FX is buying up more real estate by giving Atlanta season 2 a green light.
The decision to pick up Atlanta for a sophomore season, as first reported by Variety, was an easy one for FX. After developing the show for nearly three years, FX is clearly relieved to see that critics and fans agree: Atlanta is a hit. The series premiered to three million total viewers, making it FX’s highest comedy debut since 2011. Critics have raved (you can read our review here) and the series holds an average audience score of 88 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.9 out of 10 on Metacritic.
Glover--the series’ creator, star, and an Atlanta native--left his role as a fan-favorite on Community in 2013. Soon after, Glover began developing Atlanta and finished up his Grammy-nominated second studio album, Because the Internet, under the stage name Childish Gambino. Drawing on his experiences in the entertainment industry, Atlanta is a look at how two cousins are working to better their lives through the lens of the Atlanta music scene.
Glover plays Earn Marks, a manger who is trying to elevate his cousin Alfred’s (Brian Tyree Henry) career. Rounding out the cast is Darius (played by Lakeith Lee Stanfield), Alfred’s right-hand man and Van (Zazie Beetz) is Earn’s best friend and the mother of Earn’s daughter.
