Editor's note: This article is our news hub and episode guide for American Horror Story season 6. It will be updated each week to reflect new information.

American Horror Story earned 71 Emmy nominations and 13 wins through its first four seasons. Critical and fan reception has tapered off as of late, but ratings are still strong for FX as “Hotel” averaged more weekly viewers than “Freak Show.”

This season, AHS follows a paranormal documentary series that is being reenacted in Roanoke IslandNorth Carolina. We went in-depth on the historial significance of Roanoke here.

American Horror Story Season 6 Trailers and Promos

666 is the number of the beast and American Horror Story season 6 dropped 6 premonitions of things to come with 6 teaser-trailers designed to cast a spell that will keep us fascinated until AHS returns to FX on September 14.

Spot No. 1 –  “What’s Cooking”

The first clip is just a static shot of a farmhouse. It evokes the Wizard of Oz as it straddles the colorless void of a coming storm. It ends with a minor orgasm of moans culminating in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre ejaculation.

Spot No. 2 – “Sunset Stroll”

Set against a soundtrack reminiscent of the vocalist in Star Trek, this teaser looks like it was made from found footage at a farm family picnic. But it doesn’t look like they brought potato salad. The trio appears to be otherworldly and possessed of second sight.  All the better to see you with.

Spot No. 3 – “Post Op”

Never let it be said that the American Horror Story folks lack a sense of humor. This graphic spot tells of the importance of proper care and maintenance after head stapling. Four out of five doctors recommend patients "keep it dry." The other works at Briarcliff Manor.

Spot No. 4 – “Lullaby”

Lullabies are always as creepy as they are soothing to me. But this is one I can sleep to, The Countess had a baby last season and Lady Gaga can sing anyone to sleep. The knife of Damocles is hanging over this kid’s head.

Spot No. 5 – “The Descent”

Anyone who has ever been a kid who has ever lived in house with a basement knows to run really fast up the last few stairs. This promo sheds a dark light on why but leads us quickly down the stairs into darkness.

Spot No. 6 – “Milli Crossing”

This one might bug you. But remember American Horror Story season 6 is set on a farm and there are as many millipedes in farmhouses as there are legs on millipedes. Not to mention other things with more legs than any earthly organism has a right to have.

Usually Fox doesn't let us see American Horror Story until October, not not this year! American Horror Story Season 6 will make its first ever early season bow when it arrives on September 14th. We still have virtually no clue what this season is actually about.

We do know a little about the cast, though, so...

While we had no idea what this season was going to be about for the longest time (scroll down for the gruesome reveal), the teasers for mysterious sixth season of American Horror Story have been morbidly entertaining in themselves. Marathoning them all is like watching a nonsensical—but still awesome—many-legged horror show.
