Here's everything we learned about Gotham at NYCC 2016...

Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin), David Mazouz (Bruce), and Erin Richards (Barbara) represented Gotham at this year's New York Comic Con, teasing a few developments about the upcoming season, giving some behind-the-scenes tidbits, and — in some cases — bringing out their adorable dogs...

Dogs aside, here are five things we learned about Gotham at NYCC...

On the possibility of an Arrow-verse crossover...

Guys, there probably won't be a Gotham/Arrow crossover anytime soon... or possibly ever, but that didn't stop the NYCC crowd from asking about it (bless them) and that didn't stop the Gotham cast from commenting (bless them, also).

David Mazouz in particular seemed open to the idea, saying: "Now that The Flash can time travel, I wouldn't mind if Grant Gustin ran a little bit back in time and ended up in the GCPD." Get on it, CW/Fox.

On the possible Doppel-Bruce/Hush potential...

Mazouz said that he's heard fan theories about Doppel-Bruce being Hush/Lincoln March/Thomas Wayne Jr., though the actor couldn't say anything definitive about the comic book inspiration behind the role, Mazouz did tease: "This Bruce is not completely somebody from the comic books, but it's kind of a mix of Gotham originality and maybe one or two of those theories that I just mentioned." Do with this information what you will.

On the return of the Joker...

The best part of listening to the Gotham cast is in those moments when they geek out about the show, too. When asked about the possibility of the Joker returning, Mazouz said: "When all the monsters were leaving at the end of the season, I thought I heard a laugh."

It has been confirmed that Jerome will be back (though probably not in season three). Speaking about it, Taylor said: "There's no question. I am over the moon about it. [Cameron Monaghan] is an amazing, amazing actor. We're so happy to have him back."

Bruce has upcoming scenes with Penguin and Poison Ivy.

It was fun to have both Mazouz and Taylor there because they got to tease an upcoming (speaking!) scene between their two characters — something that has yet to happen before on the show. Yes, Penguin and Bruce will have their first conversation in the history of the show this season. Start the speculation now.

Talking about a previous season one scene the two did have together (one in which they didn't talk or interact), Mazouz said: "I remember thinking that's the first time I've seen him waddle in person."

Mazouz also teased that he will have some upcoming scenes with the new Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha), which makes sense given Ivy's connection to Selina and Selina's connection to Bruce. We've also seen Ivy and Bruce interacting previously. What will their relationship look like now that Ivy has grown up overnight? I'm afraid to ask.

Barbara and Ed have stuff coming up.

In other intriguing character dynamic news, Richards teased that Barbara and Ed will have some scenes together coming up. Might Ed come to work at The Sirens? (That would be an odd fit, but stranger things have happened.) Will Ed's relationship with Oswald somehow have him interacting with Barbara? On this show, the sky's the limit.
