Fox finds a cubicle for Linda From HR Across from John Oliver’s Janice in Accounting
The upcoming office comedy Linda From HR got a pilot commitment from Fox, contingent on the cast, and Janice in accounting don’t give a fuck.
It seems that executive producing writers Geoff Barbanell and Itai Grunfeld have been watching HBO’s Last Week Tonight. John Oliver, the least sexy Harry Potter lookalike, has been featuring the character "Janice from Accounting" for quite a while.
The contentious numbers cruncher who has no respect for the food other people store in the office fridge is played by Jill Twiss, one of Last Week Tonight's writers. Janice is also the worst person to get as a secret Santa. It’s not like Fox is stealing a minor blip in the political comedy conversation, the character is so popular her face and utterance show up on mugs and T-shirts.
Producers 20th Century Fox Television with Kat Co. and Kapital Entertainments say Linda From HR will be a single-camera comedy about the human resources’ monotonous life as who has a secret that could send her life and work into a tailspin.
