Everything you need to know about Skam Season 4...

Skam Season 4 is set to premiere on NRK in Norway sometime this spring. Here's everything we know about the next season of the Norwegian teen drama so far...
Skam Season 4 Latest News
The latest news? Skam season four has officially started filming!
The cast has begun to share some on-"set" peaks from production. One of the most exciting ones? These photos from actor Henrik Holm's (Even) Instagram story, courtesy of the IsakxEven Twitter handle, which show Isak's group of friends (plus Even!) hanging out in Oslo...
Though it's unlikely that fan-favorite couple Isak and Even will be central to Skam Season 4 — given that we've already had Isak's POV for a season and, as Even isn't a central character, it's unlikely he will be the central character for Season 4 — it shows that the two will get some screen time this season.
The news first broke that Skam season four was filming via Norwegian website Dagbladet, which has a video showing the five main female cast members from the TV show — Eva (Lisa Teige), Noora (Josefine Frida Pettersen), Sana (Iman Meskini), Chris (Ina Svenningdal), and Vilde (Ulrikke Falch) — filming a scene in a Norwegian train station. There are balloons involved.
The video seems to imply that one of the girls will be the main character for Skam Season 4. Given that both Eva and Noora have already been central characters, odds are it is either Vilde, Sana, and Chris. The fact that Vilde is standing in the front of the group implies it might be her (as does the Instagram post Falch made a few months ago — more on that below), but it by no means proves anything. Sana also seems like a very likely choice.
Here's everything else we know about what Skam season four will look like...

Skam Season 4 Main Character
Did we just find out who the main character in Skam season four will be? According to The Local Norway, an English-language Norwegian news site, Ulrikke Falch, the actress who plays Vilde, posted a photo to Instagram earlier this week, seemingly revealing that she will be the main character for Skam season four.
However, the actress soon took to Twitter and Instagram to explain that her Instagram caption had been edited by someone else...
Another frontrunner in speculation for Skam season four main character is Sana. She played a prominent role in Season 3 as biology partner and friend to Isak, and appeared in Seasons 1 and 2 as part of Eva and Noora's girl squad. Sana would also be an interesting, inspiring choice because Muslim characters are underepresented in western media.
Here is a recent interview (via Universitas, a Norwegian student newspaper) with Iman Meskini, the 19-year-old Muslim actress who plays Sana, talking about her religion and its place in her life. If Sana isn't the main character for season four, it would be nice to see her get the focus in a later season.

Skam Season 4 Trailer
The Skam season four trailer has yet to drop, but we'll be sure to post it here as soon as it hits the internet. In the mean time, here are the trailers from the first three seasons of Skam to keep you company...
Skam Season 4 Release Date
The Skam season four release date will likely drop with the trailer. Skam season two premiered in February, but speculation on when Skam season four will premiere skews towards the spring. Part of NRK's strategy for the show has been eschewing traditional means of marketing, which means we might not even know the specific date until the first episode drops, which is kind of great, if not frustrating in the mean time.

Skam Season 4 Cast
Presumably, all of the main cast will be returning for Skam season four, save for Penetrator Chris (Herman Tømmeraas), who will most likely not be in the upcoming season, given that the actor is joining the army, according to his Twitter.
Skam Season 4 Story
Skam creator, writer, and director Julie Andem was in Denmark doing some interviews earlier this week and answered some questions about Skam. According to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (and this fan Twitter account), Andem was asked if Vilde's character is a lesbian, to which Andem said she would rather not answer.
This has sparked many fans to speculate that season four (or, if Vilde isn't a main character this season, a later season) might have another queer protagonist at its center. Though Andem is also very secretive about revealing future Skam plot details, so her "no comment" could just be in regards to that.
More news as we hear it.
