The Flash & Supergirl are finally taking full advantage of their musically-talented casts...
I have been legitimately asking about a musical episode since my first Supergirl press room — and you better believe that a The Flash musical episode has been on my wishlist since Day One. (If Buffy can do it effectively, then so can the Arrow-verse.) That's the sort of thing that comes up when your shows' superhero leads — The Flash's Grant Gustin andSupergirl's Melissa Benoist — both broke onto the TV scene on Fox's musical dramedy Glee.
Well, it finally looks like all of our prayer circles have been answered. At today's CW presentation at the TCA summer press tour, Greg Berlanti reportedly confirmed a two-part The Flash/Supergirl musical episode that will drop in the second half of the superhero shows' seasons. Given how delightful the Supergirl/The Flash crossover was last season, I can only imagine how many puppies, rainbows, and ice cream cones will be featured in a musical two-parter featuring these two superheroes. Also, hopefully, some tap dance.
In addition to Benoist and Gustin, other members of the Arrow-verse who have been known to professionally belt out a tune include: Jesse L. Martin, Jeremy Jordan, Victor Garber, and John Barrowman.
